Adventures in the Ephesus Elementary Art room
Hello! I'm Hannah Jennings Murphy.
But most call me Mrs. Murphy! I grew up in Winston-Salem, NC and fell in love with art classes in my schools. I studied painting at Houghton College in Western New York and went on to get my Masters in Visual Arts Education from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, NY.
I recently moved back to North Carolina with my husband, Ben, who is a graduate student at UNC Chapel Hill.
My goal is to foster creativity and problem-solving, and to enable students to get their hands on as many materials as possible in the art room to expose them to what is happening in the world today. I'm very passionate about what the arts can do to both enhance learning and provide a unique demonstration of learning styles.
